While Y was at his interview, I stood in front of said arch, playing with my camera. A man, who was either a) homeless; b) drunk; or c) both stumbled up to me and asked where the library was.
I, obviously, had no idea.
This pissed him off. In retaliation he narrowed his eyes at me and said, "Okay, fine, how much for an hour?" and stalked off.
I hope he managed to find the library without traumatizing any more tourists.

ReplyDeletedid you go up in the arch? It's terrifying. To get up to the top you have to sit in these tiny white boxes that clink and clang the entire way up. It sways. BUT - it's pretty darn cool.
So funny that you probably met the one asshole in the entire city! I love STL as you know and I will be stoked if you guys end up there!
ReplyDeleteYup. There's crazy people. But there's tons of free stuff to do here. Trust me, the great free stuff far outweighs the crazy people.
