My late mother-in-law from Mankato had a high tea fetish even though she didn't have a clue what it was. Her family was Welsh. I may have been a New York Jew, but my grandmother was from London..complete with posh accent and impeccable manners she passed on to the grandchildren. As in, "you did not learn that in _my_ house" which was her version of smacking one upside the head. Whatever.

Downton is droll. It's a Brit show made for a Brit audience with a side serving for Americans. Kinda like Dr. Who or olives; it's an acquired taste. And it's okay if you don't like it. As it happens my London cousins are not fans.

Do, however, got to Tea Source or one of the tea shops to learn how to brew a proper cuppa. You won't be sorry.

http://wifelyperson.blogspot.com/The Wifely Personhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03255569339784573469noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4693211715262535758.post-59674628985024486072013-03-11T19:41:32.910-05:002013-03-11T19:41:32.910-05:00Ahahahah. THIS! I am not a fan of tea or Downton but give me a bowl of pretzels, some cranberry juice, and Walking Dead and I'm one happy lady!Meg @ Mr.C and Mehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/13456676076068670835noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4693211715262535758.post-640831548349132642013-03-11T10:54:14.195-05:002013-03-11T10:54:14.195-05:00I LOVE your little tea corner! I have yet to see Downton Abbey - I admit I'm curious and want to see what all the hype is about, but part of me is resisting because I'm not sure if I would even enjoy it. Then I would feel like I would need to keep watching to try to enjoy it!Corinnehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08190048508109863004noreply@blogger.com
